What is C24 structural timber?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

C24 grade structural timber is high strength spruce.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

C24 structural wood is solid wood<\/strong>. It is not micro-joined, so the length of <\/strong>a single section reaches a maximum of 6m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the production stage, it undergoes a number of technological processes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • drying in special chambers according to PN-EN338<\/strong>standard<\/li>
  • four-sided planing<\/li>
  • bevelling of the edges<\/li>
  • quality control<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    After all, you will get a smooth, planed and beveled product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The moisture content of structural timber is 15% to 18%.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    What does class C24 mean?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    A C24-grade wooden member must withstand a bending force of 24 MPa per mm2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    One square centimeter can withstand a load of almost 250 kilograms.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Only 15% of the processed lumber meets the requirements for this class. The remaining 85% of the wood will overwork under heavy loads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This means that C24 grade structural timber is selected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The wood is CE certified after rigorous quality control.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    What is CE certification?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Structural timber is certified at the production stage at the sawmill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The certification process is strictly described by the relevant standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The right to grant the certificate is given to sawmills that meet the relevant technical requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Two forms of marking wood with the CE mark are most commonly used<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • CE stamp on each component<\/li>
    • A collective declaration of conformity is issued for a set of elements.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      CE symbol (certificate) means that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • the wood was properly prepared at the production stage<\/li>
      • meets the standards for class C24<\/li>
      • passed quality control<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

        What do we use it for?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        C24 structural timber is a high-quality wood product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Suitable for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • roof structure<\/li>
        • wall construction;<\/li>
        • frame construction<\/li>
        • installation of a mezzanine<\/li>
        • terrace leggings<\/li>
        • construction of shelters and canopies<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

          By using C24 kiln-dried wood instead of wet lumber:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
          • avoid problems with brewing, mold or fungus<\/li>
          • Structures made of C24 dried wood are lighter than those made of wet wood<\/li>
          • the structure has better strength parameters<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            it is possible to use smaller cross sections, which facilitates work and reduces costs<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
