Diffusion openness, excellent thermal and acoustic performance. Steico insulation board and mat technology in the thermal rehabilitation of existing masonry buildings, as well as in new masonry construction.
When thermo-modernization or thermal insulation , depending on the condition of the walls, we use two methods to insulate the building:
1. straight walls of the building – depending on what thermal parameter we want to achieve we use Steico panels of a given thickness mounted directly to the building, just like standard insulation.
2. curved Walls of the building – In this case, consoles must be installed to the wall. The next step is to make a C24 timber frame, which is lined up perfectly, both vertically and horizontally. This results in a perfect plane, and thus a straight building wall.
The next step is to fill the frame with insulation mats and then with tongue-and-groove insulation board – once this board is used, thermal bridges are eliminated. Once this is done, we get a water- and wind-proof façade ready to be plastered or clad with façade board.
Both methods perform the same function – providing the best thermal performance, protecting the masonry from moisture, excellent microclimate, spontaneous drying of the walls due to the openness of diffusion.
